  • Museum of Fine Arts, Boston - Well into a $500 million capital campaign and having just broken ground on a major construction project to expand the main museum building, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, was presented with an opportunity it could not pass up. The Forsyth Institute put up for sale the building it had occupied for nearly 100 years adjacent to the MFA. With the subsequent acquisition of this signature property, the MFA recognized a need to rethink its plans for occupancy of nearly 1 million square feet of space. Toward this end, Smith + St. John was hired to direct a comprehensive master planning effort.

  • Post Office Square - A 10-story downtown office building was completely gutted, and a new main entrance, egress stair, two new elevators and completely new systems were inserted in the 100-year-old fabric. A 52,000 square foot full service HMO clinic, including exam suites for all specialties, radiology and laboratory suites was constructed in the renovated space.
  • West Roxbury - A new 45,000 square foot building was programmed, designed and constructed as a full-service HMO clinic, including exam suites for all specialties and radiology and laboratory suites.
  • Somerville - Programming, design and construction of a 62,000 square foot full-service HMO clinic in a new Davis Square office building.
  • Burlington - Programming and design for a 56,000 square foot full-service HMO clinic in an existing suburban office building.
